Extend your Tuff TTL system with this additional receiver. Its sturdy silicone rubber casing and weatherproof design is built to withstand tough environments and accident prone individuals - it is drop-proof up to 2m. With a 200 metre range and easy plug-and-play functionality, additional receivers allow you to fire multiple flash guns using one transmitter.
One receiver needed per flash gun in your multi-flash set-up. Comes with user manual and AA batteries.
We covered the Tuff TTL additional receivers in the January-March 2013 issue:
Tuff TTL supports any number of additional Speedlites in one setup. Each Speedlite requires a receiver unit.
When multiple E-TTL or E-TTL II units are used, they all fire at the same power. In this case, all flashes should be pointing towards the subject for the best effect. This can be useful in cases when one unit does not have sufficient power.
An interesting use of two or more Tuff receivers is to set secondary Speedlites in manual power mode. This can be used to light backgrounds or other static subjects for which the exposure does not vary from one frame to the next. Use the manual mode (M) on the Speedlite after connecting it to the trigger and use the Speedlite control to set the required output.
